The Dublin Pubcrawlers ended a long winless drought and edged the lifeless
Burbank Tigers in 10 innings at the ballpark by the score of 2 to 1.
The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings. Dublin came out the victor in
the 10th inning. Alex Cintron smacked a single. After an out was recorded,
Matt Lawton came up and he stroked a base-hit. Miguel Olivo then stroked a
one-base hit giving Dublin the win and sending the home town fans into a
frenzy. Dublin had 8 hits overall, while Burbank had 3.
The winning pitcher was Rheal Cormier(5-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Jason Davis(0-1) was the loser in relief. 'After the stretch we
have been through lately, this victory is especially sweet' offered Adam
Smith. Now, we just have to make this the norm - not the exception!'
